New Way to Volunteer, Donate Items and Help Charities in Flint & Genesee County

You want to volunteer. You have unused items that could be donated to local charities and nonprofit organizations. You are passionate about a cause and would like to get more involved.

As a program of Resource Genesee, HandsOn Genesee is the Volunteer Center for Flint & Genesee County. Recently, we launched an entirely new site at www.handsongenesee.org using a web-based platform known as "Get Connected." This system will make it easier for you to help meet the ongoing needs of local charities. If you work for a charity or nonprofit, this simple system will help you recruit volunteers, ask for in-kind donations, list job openings and engage people in promoting your cause.

www.HandsOnGenesee.org is an easy-to-use web-based platform that matches the right donors, advocates, and volunteers with the right opportunities in our neighborhoods.

You can search for needs based on your interests. You can reach out to agencies who care about the same things you care about, and you can find meaningful ways to give back.

This site makes it easy to share needs and volunteer opportunities with your friends on Facebook, invite users to join you in searching for ways to give back, and build relationships with the agencies that are making a difference in our hometown.
